About Christa
Christa Cordova facilitates integration at the intersection of three things most people keep separate: career, faith, and mental health.
Christa spent the early part of her career inside some of the world's largest organizations (General Electric and Ace Hardware, to name just a couple), leading communications, building training programs, and learning how workplaces function at scale in the global marketplace. She knows what it's like to sit in rooms where whole person well-being is rarely the point. That experience didn't leave her when she moved into non-profit, higher education, and faith-based contexts. It became the foundation for her work as a spiritual care provider.
Today, Christa works as a corporate chaplain, mental health educator, and spiritual trauma recovery advocate. She provides care and support to executives navigating the tension between professional demands and spiritual health, trains organizations in evidence-based mental health frameworks, and walks alongside individuals who have experienced spiritual trauma and are ready to begin healing.
Before seminary, Christa spent years inside organizations where mental and spiritual health were invisible. At GE, she led employee communications initiatives reaching tens of thousands of people across global business divisions. At Ace Hardware, she built training programs deployed to more than 10,000 store associates nationwide. She understands organizations from the inside: the culture, the pressure, the silence around things that matter most.
This background means she doesn't connect in corporate settings as an outsider. She arrives as someone who has occupied the leadership seat, who knows how workplaces are structured, and who can offer care in a language that matches the corporate setting.
Credibility
Christa holds a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) from Fuller Seminary and a Journalism degree from the University of Kansas. She is certified to facilitate QPR Suicide Prevention training and Mental Health First Aid, two of the most widely respected early-intervention frameworks available.
She serves on the Congregational Care Ministry team at The Woodlands Methodist Church and volunteers with the Spiritual Care team at Houston Methodist Hospital in The Woodlands. Christa is trained as a Spiritual Health Advocate, providing gospel-centered support to those experiencing faith-based hardship. Christa is currently working toward board-certification as a chaplain, training with Anam Cara CPE and CPEI.
Christa approaches her work from a Protestant Christian perspective that is both ecumenical (open to and appreciative of all faith traditions) and inter-denominational (flexible across belief systems), She is grounded in faith, not at all intimidated by difficult questions and big emotions, and open to people wherever they are in their spiritual journey.
