Here's a little close-up of my sermon note page.
In case you can't read it, or are reading this via email, it says…
"We can't know the WILL of God, without knowing the WORD of God."
This point just jumped up and got me today.
I've been thinking about reading through my Bible. You know, in a "I think I might go on a European cruise someday," or "I'm thinking about going back for my Master's…" all vague things I'd like to do, but honestly won't make or break my near-future if I don't get around to it.
At the same time, I've been actively seeking God's will in several big areas of my life. Health, "career," even this blog. I want to use the talents He's given me to further His kingdom on Earth and make His name known. And I just. don't. know. how to do that. Or where to go with it.
In the sermon today, it all became crystal clear. I've been "meaning" to read through my Bible at the same time I've been seeking, because God wants to reveal Himself. Through His word.
So, on September 1, I'm going to follow this plan to read through the entire Bible in 90 days. I'm planning to post each day's reading on Instagram and Facebook.
If you've been seeking God's will for your life, will you join me in reading His word intentionally, and intensively, for 90 days this Fall?
There's no need to do anything specific to sign up for the challenge. Since the reading will be so intense (it'll likely take about an hour a day), the only thing to do will be check into either of my pages, or just download the reading schedule yourself.
Challenge will begin September 1 - hope to see you there!
