Time for Tea!

I love drinking tea - from the wide range of flavors, to all the health benefits - I'm just a big fan!

Over the last couple of years, I've tried to learn more about different types of tea and the health benefits each one offers.

Here's what I know (so far...):
- Green tea  has a high concentration of antioxidants, which helps protect against many different kinds of cancers, it revs metabolism to help burn fat and may reduce the risk of neurological disorders like Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease.
- Black tea (of all varieties) has the highest concentration of caffeine among all teas and helps reduce the risk of stroke.
- White tea is the least processed of all teas and some studies say it has the highest concentration of cancer-fighting compounds among all teas.

I love preparing my tea using organic loose leaves and a stainless steel mesh tea strainer. However, I also really love bagged teas by Yogi Teas, Heath and Heather and Simon Levelt. The first two are available globally, Simon Levelt is available here in Europe.

Of course, no tea party (solo or with friends) would be complete without a cute tea cup to serve it in! Here in the Netherlands, I love everything from Blonde Amsterdam. I also like Emma Bridgewater and The Teapot Shoppe.
